The tension on the retractable screen is factory pre-set. Retractable screens manufactured from 1999 to January 2024 for gliding and hinged outswing patio doors use a canister that houses the insect screen cloth and can be adjusted if the tension is lost.

Dry lubricant spray
can be used on retractable screens installed before June 2007. No lubricant is necessary on retractable screens manufactured in January 2024 and after.
