The screen tension on your Andersen® Retractable Screens for hinged outswing and gliding patio doors is important because it helps the screen roll smoothly in and out of the housing.
Adjusting Tension on Andersen® Retractable Screens for Hinged Outswing and Gliding Patio Doors
The tension on the retractable screen is factory pre-set. However, retractable screens manufactured from 1999 to January 2024 for gliding and hinged outswing patio doors use a canister that houses the insect screen cloth and can be adjusted if the tension is lost.
If you need assistance identifying your Andersen® patio door, visit our Identify Your Product
pathway in the Andersen® Window and Door Help Center.
