The French Curve handle was manufactured for use on gliding patio doors and was discontinued in 1999. This handle is held into the back plate with one (1) or two (2) screws. If the screw(s) become loose, the handle will fall off the back plate or feel loose. The French curve handle is applied using a stud and bolt.
Replacement studs and bolts are ordered as part of the trim set screw package. See trim set screw package

Installation
Tools/Supplies Needed
Safety Glasses
Loctite® Threadlocker or Super Glue (available at a local hardware store and may be available as another brand name)
Phillips Screwdriver
Caution: Follow the instructions of the adhesive manufacturer regarding safety, material application, and compatibility with this product.
Instructions
Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the two (2) oval-threaded bolts that hold the handle onto the patio door.

Once the hardware is off the patio door, please take the loose handle and back the screw out a couple of turns. Once you have the screw backed out slightly, Loctite® Threadlocker or super glue will be needed.
Place a couple of drops of Loctite® Threadlocker or super glue on the visible screw threads. Immediately tighten the screw before the super glue or Loctite® Threadlocker hardens French Curve handles are no longer available but can be replaced with any of our current patio door handles styles.
