If you're noticing trim pieces around your glass or thinking about replacing them, we're here to help you understand what they do and how to move forward.
Understanding and Replacing Glazing Beads on Andersen® Windows and Patio Doors
Glazing beads are wood or vinyl pieces located around the perimeter of the glass. They cover the space between the edge of the glass and the sash or panel, providing a clean, finished appearance. While they enhance the look of your window or door, the primary seal is created by the sealant beneath the glass.
If your glazing bead is loose, worn, or damaged, it can be replaced. To make sure you receive the correct replacement part, you'll need to identify the Series and vintage of your unit. If you're unsure, we can help. Visit the Identify Your Product
pathway in the Andersen® Window and Door Help Center for step-by-step guidance.
Once you've identified your product, replacement glazing beads can be ordered through the Andersen® Online Parts Store,
or you can Contact Andersen® Windows and Doors for assistance with a quote. We're happy to help you find exactly what you need.
