Andersen offers a variety of grille styles for your Andersen® window or patio door. These styles include grilles secured to the interior glass surface, removable interior grilles, permanently applied exterior grilles and Finelight™ grilles. Patterns and sizing availability for windows and patio doors may vary depending on the product type and size. Material

Exterior grilles are always permanently applied, made of our revolutionary Fibrex® composite material combining the strength and durability of wood with the easy maintenance of vinyl. Fibrex® material is available in several colors that won't fade, blister, chalk or rot.

Interior grilles could be polycarbonate, available 1968 - 2009, in several prefinished colors or interior grilles can be ordered as natural wood. Wood interior grilles are available in pine, oak, maple or prefinished white.

Styles

Full divided light grilles provide a truly authentic look with grille bars permanently applied to the interior and the exterior glass surfaces and an aluminum spacer between the panes of glass. Full divided lights are factory-applied and must be ordered when the window or patio door unit is ordered; full divided light grilles cannot be added after the unit has been purchased.

Removable interior grilles are secured via a fastener or grille clip and can be removed enabling you to easily clean the glass surface. Interior removable grilles do not include the exterior grille or a metal spacer bar between the panes of glass.

Finelight™ Grilles are suspended between the panes of glass during manufacturing and must be ordered with the unit; Finelight™ grilles cannot be added after the unit has been purchased. Finelight™ grilles allow you to easily clean both the inside and outside pane of glass because the grille bars are located between the panes of glass rather than being applied to the glass either permanently or with grille clips or fasteners.

Simulated divided light grilles have two options when ordering. Both options feature grilles permanently applied to the exterior glass surface. The interior grille has two ordering options and can be ordered either: Permanently applied to the interior surface or removable.

Color

The exterior grille will match the exterior color of your Andersen® product. The interior grille is available in prefinished white, natural wood or (if available) stained to match the interior finish.
