To order replacement parts and accessories for a window or door, it is important to determine the size of the unit. The size of the window or patio door unit can be determined by measuring the unobstructed glass dimension, or the visible glass surface you can see and touch.
How to Measure the Visible Glass
From the interior of the home, measure the visible glass width and height to the nearest 1/16" (inch). For instructions on how to measure the visible glass in different types of windows, including double-hung, including curved windows, see the instructions provided in the YouTube® video below.
Curved Windows: When measuring the visible glass height of curved windows, measure to the highest point.
