How to Paint Primed Wood Interior Surfaces
When painting Andersen® products that have a primed wood interior surfaces, follow the instructions provided below.

Safety Warnings
Tools and Supplies Needed
- Tack cloth
- Plastic scraper
- High-quality, interior oil- or water-based trim paint (specified for the type of wood trim)
- 3M Scotch-Brite® Pad or steel wool
Let's Get Started
Paint Primed Wood Interior Surfaces
- Open or remove the component being painted.

Lightly scuff the primed surface with a 3M Scotch-Brite® Pad or steel wool.

Remove dust particles with a tack cloth.

Apply two (2) coats of paint, following the paint manufacturer's instructions for application and curing time.

Clean excess paint from the glass using a plastic scraper.

Let the paint fully dry before closing or reassembling.
