On Andersen® 200 Series Perma-Shield® Narroline® double-hung windows and 400 Series tilt-wash double-hung full-frame windows, the tip on a 3/4-inch interior removable grille is designed to fit behind the lock's keeper, the locking hardware on the upper sash. If the grille tip does not fit behind the keeper, you may have older hardware, manufactured before 1994, that is not compatible with your new interior removable grille.
