Glazing Beads
Carefully place the sash on a flat, clean surface.
Insert the thin blade putty knife between the existing glazing bead and sash. Gently push the bead toward the center of the glass until the glazing bead is pried loose.
Once the old glazing bead is removed, take the mitered end of the new glazing bead and insert it into one corner of the glass. Flex the bead so that it sits loosely into the opposite corner.
Starting at the edges of the window, firmly press the glazing beads into the sash. When the beads are set, you will hear a "click".
Check the glazing beads for any gaps. If gaps are present, remove and reseat the glazing beads.
