Andersen® Primed Gliding Window
Window Sash Adjustment

Tools / Supplies Needed
Safety Glasses
Flat Blade Screwdriver
Use the following steps to adjust your primed gliding window sash.
Open the window sash to within one inch of the side jamb and check for a uniform opening from top to bottom. If the gap is uneven, you will need to adjust the front or back glide up or down so the window sash is square in the frame.
Slide the window sash to the middle of the frame.
Lift the window sash and tilt the bottom of the window sash toward the inside of the home.
There will be two (2) glides on the bottom of the window sash. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to raise or lower the glides.
Adjust either the front or back glide up or down so the window sash is square in the frame.

Insert Top of Window into Frame
Return the window sash to the frame by inserting the top of the window into the head of the frame and situating the bottom of the window sash into the sill.
Verify that the window sash is square in the frame by closing it to within one inch of the side jamb and checking for a uniform opening from top to bottom. Repeat the above steps as needed.
Check the window sash for proper operation by opening and closing it to verify that it moves smoothly within the frame.
If the above adjustment to the glides of your window sash did not resolve the concern, please Contact Andersen® Windows and Doors for further assistance.
