Andersen® A-Series and 400 Series casement windows use an operator to open and close the window sash. The operator consists of a gear mechanism and an operator arm that extends and retracts to open and close the window. The following items are required to order the correct replacement part.

To identify the replacement straight-arm operator needed for your window, the vintage of your window is required. To determine your casement window vintage, locate the Andersen® Glass Logo . Depending on the vintage of your window, the replacement straight-arm operator may not appear exactly the same as the operator being replaced.

Use the vintage, handing, size and length information to order available operators in the Andersen Windows and Doors Part Store . Please note, depending on the window vintage, the replacement straight-arm operator may not appear exactly the same as the operator being replaced.

Straight Arm Operator 1974 - 1995

Operators may have a specific design number stamped on the back of the operator. The link below to the operator listing is used to replace all previous vintage straight-arm operators such as 7198-17, 7191, 7192-2, 7191-32 or 7193. For this vintage, the operator cover is shipped with the operator. The original operator cover may not have screw holes. The handle must be ordered separately.
