Casement and awning window operators are comprised of three (3) components:

Operator - Opens and closes the window sash and is only visible when the sash is in the open position. Casement and awning windows use different styles of operators.

Operator Handle - Sits on the spline shaft and is turned to open and close the sash.

Operator Cover (lexan cover) - Sits directly under the operator handle and covers the operator gears.
