Window sash lifts are accessory items that can be installed on Andersen® double-hung and single-hung windows after the window has been installed. This article explains the available sash lift styles, compatibility considerations, and where to find product-specific options.
Available Window Sash Lift Styles
Andersen® offers three (3) styles of window sash lifts for double-hung and single-hung windows. Sash lifts are available in multiple interior finish options.

Finger Lifts
Not all window sash lifts can be used on all Series of windows. Follow the recommendations in the Andersen® Windows & Doors Part Store 
for the specific product.
400 Series Tilt-Wash Double-Hung Window Compatibility
Compatibility requirements vary based on when the 400 Series Tilt-Wash double-hung window was manufactured.
Windows Manufactured Before 2017
- Classic sash lifts may be used
- Estate sash lifts may be used
- Other compatible lift styles may be available based on the specific window
Windows Manufactured From 2017 to Present
- Classic sash lifts are not compatible
- Estate sash lifts are not compatible
- Only sash lifts designed for 2017-present 400 Series Tilt-Wash double-hung windows should be used
