Perma-shield® awning and casement weatherstrip (1966 - 1977) forms an airtight seal around the window sash. If the weatherstrip on any of the four (4) sides becomes damaged, cold air can penetrate into your home. The bulb style weatherstrip (1966 - 1977) is easily replaced and can be ordered, please Contact Andersen® Windows and Doors.
Leaf-Type Weatherstrip is no longer available. Replace with bulb weatherstrip. Part number 1362222 is a 72" piece of bulb style weatherstrip; secure with vinyl-to-vinyl adhesive. 
The unit size will help you determine the amount of vinyl adhesive needed. Refer to the Parts Catalog
for unit sizing assistance.

Installation
Easy DIY Weatherstrip Replacement.

Steps
- Using a utility knife, carefully cut the existing weatherstrip from the window sash.
- Clean the area with mild soapy water and a soft, dry cloth to remove any dirt or debris.
- Apply vinyl-to-vinyl adhesive to the window sash. Vinyl-to-Vinyl adhesive dries very quickly and should only be applied with a two (2) inch bead at a time.
- Position an two (2) inch section of the bulb weatherstrip on the two (2) inch bead of vinyl-to-vinyl adhesive and hold for 30-40 seconds.
- Repeat steps three (3) and four (4) until the whole bulb weatherstrip is fastened to the window sash.
- Once the new weatherstrip is applied, your window will have the seal strength to keep out nature's elements.
