This article is for A-Series awning and casement window sash weatherstrip and provides identification, ordering, and replacement assistance.
A-Series awning and casement windows use two (2) types of weatherstrip on the window sash. There is a leaf weatherstrip that is located on all four (4) sides of the window sash for 2008 - 2011 windows and located just on the top horizontal edge of the window sash for 2011 - Present units. There is also a bulb weatherstrip used on 2011 - Present windows that is applied vertically to both sides of the window sash. To identify your window series, complete Identify my Andersen® Product

Leaf weatherstrip is made to order based on size. Determining the Size of Your Andersen® Window or Patio Door.
The replacement bulb weatherstrip is beige in color and is a universal size that can be cut down.

Replacement Parts
Replacement awning and casement weatherstrip are pre-cut to size. Contact Andersen® Windows and Doors for ordering information for the A-Series sash weatherstrip.
Installation
Tools/Supplies Needed
- Safety Glasses
- Leaf or Bulb Weatherstrip
- Needle Nose Pliers
- Mild soapy water
- Soft, Dry Cloth

Remove the window sash using the following installation guides:
Casement Window with Split Arm Operator (9001740) 
Casement Window with Straight Arm Operator (9001739) 
Awning Window (9001737) 
Using needle nose pliers, remove the original weatherstrip from the window sash.
Clean the area with mild soapy water and a soft, dry cloth to remove any dirt or debris.
Insert new weatherstrip, positioning weatherstrip leg into the channel on the window sash and pressing it into place.
