Follow the steps below to clean stained or painted interior wood surfaces in your home and follow the instructions from the cleaning product manufacturer.

Tools and Supplies Needed

  • Three (3) soft, cleaning cloths
  • Andersen-approved cleaning product (see below)

 

Andersen-Approved Cleaning Products for Finished Wood

  • Diluted bleach, ratio of 1/3 — cup/gallon of water
  • Sure Klean
  • Formula 409® Multi-Surface Cleaner
  • Goo Gone®
  • Pledge, if wiped off the surface right away
  • Windex® Original Glass Cleaner
  • Mild soap/detergent

Clean Interior Finished Wood Surfaces

  1. Use a dry soft cleaning cloth to remove any dust, debris, or grease from the frame.
  2. Clean the frame with an Andersen-approved cleaning product listed above and a soft cleaning cloth.
  3. Dry the frame with a soft cloth.
