Regular cleaning and maintenance are recommended to keep your Andersen® gliding patio doors looking great and operating properly over time.

How to Clean and Maintain Sill Track and Rollers on Andersen® Gliding Patio Doors

You may need to clean your gliding patio door's sill track, the bottom channel where the door glides, or lubricate your rollers, when there is visible debris, the operation is bumpy, or the operation requires more effort than normal.

Tools and Supplies Needed

Let's Get Started

1. Clean Gliding Patio Door Sill Track

  1. Open the patio door.
  2. Use a soft-bristle brush and warm, mild soapy water to remove any dirt deposits or debris from the sill track.
  3. Rinse off any soap residue with clean water.
  4. Allow the track to dry before closing the patio door.

2. Lubricate Gliding Patio Door Rollers

Apply a dry lubricant spray to the rollers either by spraying it through the patio door's adjustment hole or by removing the panel and applying it directly to the rollers from the bottom of the panel. It is not required that you remove the panel.

If your door's operation hasn't improved after completing the recommended cleaning and maintenance listed above, Contact Andersen® Windows and Doors for further assistance.
