If your Andersen® gliding patio door's insect screen is getting stuck or experiencing other operational issues, we recommend you inspect the rollers to determine whether they need adjustment or replacement.
How to Adjust or Replace Rollers on Andersen® Gliding Insect Screens
Periodic roller adjustments can help your gliding insect screen stay in good condition for years to come. However, if adjusting the rollers does not resolve the operational issues, they may need to be replaced.
Note: A-Series, 400, and 200 Series gliding insect screens feature either stainless steel spring guides or spring-loaded rollers on top and bottom rollers. These directions do not apply to E-Series or 100 Series gliding insect screens due to design differences. See Related Articles for more details on E-Series and 100 Series gliding insect screens.

Let's Get Started
Clean Insect Screen Track
Oftentimes, operational issues are caused by dirt or debris in the insect screen track. Before inspecting the rollers, clean the gliding insect screen track to see if the operation improves. For instructions on keeping your gliding patio door insect screen clean and in good condition, seeClean and Care for Gliding Insect Screens on Andersen® Patio Doors.
If cleaning does not resolve your operation issues, follow the steps below to inspect the insect screen's rollers for damage or any needed adjustments.
Inspect Rollers for Damage or Adjustment Needs
Start by inspecting your rollers to determine whether you need to replace or adjust them.
Remove the insect screen panel. To do so, reverse the steps found in theGliding Insect Screen Accessory Guide (0001666)or simply slide it to the center of the frame, lift it, and pull it out at the bottom.
Inspect the rollers. If your rollers are undamaged, your insect screen may need adjustment.
If your rollers appear to be damaged, we recommend replacing them.
To adjust or replace your rollers, you can follow the written instructions in this article or watch the YouTube® video below.
Adjust Gliding Patio Door Insect Screen Rollers
