When installing your 200 Series or 400 Series gliding insect screen panel, insert the top of the panel into the vinyl channel first. Be sure the roller or spring (varies depending on the vintage) makes contact with the vinyl extruded rib located inside the channel. If the roller or spring is not making contact with the vinyl rib, then the insect screen may not be properly installed.

Your Andersen 200 Series or 400 Series gliding patio door will come with a pre-drilled screw hole for an insect screen latch. It is located on the side jamb and should line up even with the interior insect screen handle. The latch is attached to the side jamb by a single screw and both parts are included with all gliding patio door units. The latch is not included with the purchase of a replacement gliding insect screen. To order a 200 Series or 400 Series gliding patio door insect screen latch Opens in a New Browser Tab, visit the Online Parts Store.

If the insect screen latch doesn't match up even with the interior screen handle, see Patio Door Gliding Insect Screen Handle Alignment.
