The handle of a patio door gliding insect screen should align with the screen latch on the frame of the patio door unit. A handle that does not align with the latch might be due to a gliding insect screen installed upside down. Review the following question if the insect screen is not aligned with the screen latch.
Where on the edge of the insect screen are the adjustment screws? A correctly installed insect screen will have adjustment screws located on the bottom of the insect screen.
