Andersen® casements have decorative interior trim located inside the unit to create a finished look. These stops are individually replaceable. The steps below will assist in identifying and ordering placement. Identification

To identify the type of stops used on your casement window, determine the following prior to order placement. 

Series: Follow the Identify Your Product  pathway to determine the Series. Stops for E-Series, A-Series and 400 Series casement windows can be ordered when you Contact Andersen® Windows and Doors directly. 

Handing: Is this a venting or stationary casement unit? Verify the handing of the casement window. Venting casement windows, determine if the unit is right-handed or left-handed see, Casement Window Unit and Replacement Part Handing. Stops are all handed the same as the window unit. Example: If the unit is left-handed, the sill and both side stops will be left-handed. Stationary Casement / Picture Windows, only need the vintage and window size to order stops.

Operator Type: The operator type will be a factor in determining the sill stop. From 1966 - 1982 we only offered straight arm operators. After 1982 two (2) styles of operators became available. Stop Style: We added a contemporary stop option to the existing traditional offering, starting February 2022.

Stop Finish: Depending on when your unit was manufactured the stop could come either unfinished or painted. From 1966 - 1998 Available in unfinished only. In 1999 we added painted options.
