Identification
Before ordering replacement stops for your Andersen® casement window, you'll need to gather a few key details.
Start by identifying the Series of your window using the Identify Your Product tool in the Andersen® Help Center. Once identified, stops for E-Series, A-Series, and 400 Series casement windows can be ordered.
Next, determine the handing of your window. If it’s a venting casement unit, check whether it’s left-handed or right-handed—this will match the handing of the stops. For example, a left-handed window will require left-handed sill and side stops. If you have a stationary casement or picture window, you’ll only need the window’s vintage and size to place an order. For more information, see Casement Window Unit and Replacement Part Handing.
The operator type also plays a role in selecting the correct sill stop. Windows manufactured between 1966 and 1982 used only straight-arm operators. After 1982, both straight-arm and split-arm operators became available. To confirm your operator type, refer to Operator Types Used on A-Series and 400 Series Casement Windows.
As of February 2022, Andersen® offers two stop styles: traditional and contemporary. Finally, consider the finish of the stop. Units made from 1966 to 1998 came with unfinished stops only, while painted options became available starting in 1999.
