For Andersen® A-Series, 400 Series, 200 Series, and 100 Series gliding patio doors, if the locking hardware is damaged, difficult to operate, or does not engage properly, the door may be slightly out of alignment, or the handle set (trim set) may need to be replaced.

How to Install and Adjust Locking Hardware on Andersen® Gliding Patio Doors

Depending on the concern, you can adjust the locking hardware or replace the trim set, or the reachout lock and receiver. On gliding patio doors, the reachout lock is activated when you lock the door. When activated, a hook secures into the latch receiver, located on a second door or door frame, to secure the door shut.

Follow the video or written instructions below to adjust or replace the locking hardware, as needed.
