Replacing the Latch Receiver and Screen Guides on 100 Series Gliding Patio Doors

The latch receiver on the insect screen for an Andersen® 100 Series gliding patio door is designed for easy installation and adjustment. It fits into two pre-drilled holes on the patio door frame and can be repositioned to ensure smooth locking. Latch Receiver with Screws and Black Screen Glides

 

 

Instructions

Tools/Supplies Needed:

  • Safety Glasses
  • Philips Screwdriver

 

 

Installing the Screen Glides

To install the black screen guides:

  1. Locate the top corners of the insect screen, just outside the rollers

     

  2. Firmly press the two (2) black screen guides into place, with the contoured side facing down

 

Replacing or Adjusting the Latch Receiver

Replacing the latch receiver is quick and easy. Just follow these steps:

 

  1. Locate the latch receiver on the door frame

     

  2. Remove the two (2) screws holding the screen latch receiver in place

     

  3. Position the new latch receiver in the same location

     

  4. Insert and tighten the screws to secure the new receiver

     

  5. Adjust the receiver up or down as needed to ensure a proper fit

     

  6. Fully tighten the screws once the receiver is correctly aligned
