Optimal performance of the patio door gliding insect screen rollers may be achieved through routine maintenance and periodic adjustment. If the patio door gliding insect screen is difficult to operate, we recommend performing the steps below to see if the operation improves.

Maintenance and Adjustment

Clean the gliding insect screen track to see if the operation improves. For instructions and tips for cleaning and lubricating the gliding insect screen, see Patio Door Gliding Insect Screen Care and Maintenance.

Inspect the standard gliding insect screen rollers for damage or if adjustments are needed. To check the rollers, the insect screen panel must be removed. To remove the insect screen, reverse the steps found in the Gliding Insect Screen Accessory Guide (0001666) Opens in a New Browser Tab.

Raise and lower the insect screen by turning the adjustment screw located on the insect screen panel for proper alignment on the insect screen track. To raise turn the adjustment screw clockwise. To lower turn the adjustment screw counter-clockwise.
