Andersen® casement and awning windows both use similar lock mechanisms, which are the latches that secure your window shut. Casement windows can have one (1) or two (2) lock mechanisms, while awning windows always have two (2) on the left and right side of the window frame.

How to Order Replacement Locks for Andersen® Casement and Awning Windows

The locks on your Andersen® casement or awning windows can vary depending on what year the window was manufactured. Ordering and installing replacement lock mechanisms or lock parts can be done in a few quick steps, outlined below.

The lock mechanisms listed below are either hidden inside your window's frame or fully visible. The lock mechanism secures into a keeper, which is typically located on the window sash itself. Below are links for replacement locks and keepers.

This Article Will Help You:

  • Determine your window's vintage, style, and handing.
  • Order the correct replacement lock.
  • Find next steps to replace the locks.

Let's Get Started

1. Determine Your Window's Vintage, Style, and Handing

Before ordering, follow these first steps to ensure you order the correct replacement part for your window.
