The Identify My Casement Window Worksheet is designed to walk you through gathering the necessary information to identify your Andersen® product, accessories, and features. We recommend that you follow the product identification process so that you may:

  • Purchase and receive the correct replacement part(s) for your Andersen® product.
  • Locate the care and maintenance guide for your Andersen® product.
  • Locate installation and/or replacement guides for your Andersen® product.

For information on contacting us directly, see Contact Andersen® Windows and Doors.

How to Complete the Identify My Casement Window Worksheet

We recommend you follow steps one (1) through three (3), since these steps will be the most helpful to identify your product. Record your answers by writing them down or by taking photos.

  • If you'd prefer to use your product's features to identify it, use Andersen's Identify My Product Opens in a New Browser Tab tool.

Steps four (4) through seven (7) can be helpful if more information is needed to identify your product.

Step 1: Locate Product Identification Label (2007 - Present)

If your product was manufactured before 2007, skip to step two (2).

Andersen started using Product Identification (ID) Labels on products beginning in 2007. All products manufactured since then will have a Product ID label that provides information about the product's size, color, and other important identifying details.

If your product was manufactured in 2007 or later, locate the Product ID label.

The product ID label on casement windows is typically in one of the two spots circled in the image to the right.

Once you locate the Product ID label on your casement window, record the "Prod Id" for future use or take a photo of the label.

Step 2: Locate the Andersen® Glass Logo

Locate the Andersen® glass logo on your window sash. The glass logo is etched into the glass surface and is usually located in the bottom corner.

See Identify Glass Type on Andersen® Windows and Patio Doors to view additional glass logo examples.

Once you locate the glass logo, record the information displayed around the logo. If your window's glass is tempered, you will see a different etching with the word "Tempered," but you do not need to record that information.

If you are unable to locate the glass logo on your window sash, please contact us for further assistance.

Step 3: Measure the Interior Visible Glass Dimension

From inside the home, measure (in inches) the glass you can see and touch on only one (1) window sash. Ignore the grilles and do not include them in the measurement. This is called the unobstructed glass dimension. For more help, see Measure Andersen® Window or Patio Door Glass.

Write down your window's width and height, rounding to the nearest 1/8 inch.

    • Example: 67 1/8 inches.

Step 4: Casement Window Handing

From the exterior of the home, determine the window handing based on where the hinges are located.

Record the handing of the casement window.

Left-Handed

Hinges are on the left side of the window.

Right-Handed

Hinges are on the right side of the window.

Step 5: Casement Window Operator Arm Type

From the interior of the home, open the window to view the operator arm that attaches to the window sash.
